LCSL - Maryland Mentor Corps

The mission of the Maryland Mentor Corps (MMC), a partnership between the University of Maryland and Prince George's County Public Schools, is to provide a high quality mentoring program that enriches learning opportunities for both college and elementary school students. Each semester, more than 200 UMD students work weekly with elementary schools in Prince George's County. UMD student participants, called "Mentors", help students develop their literacy and math skills in one-on-one or small group settings.
