Global Dental Brigades at the University of Maryland, College Park

Global Dental Brigades is the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. We empower under-resourced communities around the world to facilitate the implementation of sustainable healthcare solutions while fostering local cultures. We plan annual service trips to less developed countries in order to assist local dentists in providing urgent preventative dental care and conduct educational dental hygiene workshops in communities with limited access to healthcare. In doing so, our volunteers are given the opportunity to shadow licensed dentists in a fast-paced, hands-on manner unique to this experience.
