College of Education Graduate Student Organization

The purposes of the COE GSO are to:

• Promote the general welfare of our College of Education (COE) graduate student body;
• Sponsor professional, educational, and social activities that support and celebrate graduate students’ academic endeavors and engage graduate students across academic departments in the COE;
• Represent the interests of the COE graduate student body and communicate them to COE leadership personnel;
• Advocate for graduate student participation in COE leadership meetings and activities;
• Promote collaboration amongst graduate students, undergraduate students, faculty, and staff to advance the mission of the COE;
• Establish policies and procedures relevant to organizational governance; and
• Fulfill its responsibilities of abiding by UMCP policies.
